Lazy Saturday Fishing
Took the yak out today on my favorite lake. Caught a bunch of decent little gills, 1 tiny bass, and about 6-7 crappie. All on the custom 3-4wt and size 10 GRHE nymphs. The weather was absolutely beautiful here in NJ today..... all week for that matter. Here's a few pics.

Great looking fish....I'm in S. Jersey, where is that lake? Looks peaceful an serene for you; dangerous for the fish....

Hey Jim,
That's in Freehold at a state park named Turkey Swamp. It's usually very crowded with kids and parents fishing off the docks, they have row-boat and paddle boat rentals as well. However, there are a few little coves that you can sneek a kayak into and be alone. Get's less pressure in the colder months and it's one of my favorite lakes. I live in Eatontown and it's about a 30 minute ride for me.
I built the rod from the Stowaway 8.5ft 3wt blank and dropped the butt section. It makes a very sweet 4wt and has a smooth moderate action similar to glass. I love that rod!
Tight lines!!
