See if you can find a rotisserie motor from a BBQ grill at a local garage sale. It can be mounted pretty easily on a board, and fixed up with a styrofoam disc to hold your flies. Best Regards......
Just do what I did, make your own turner out of the motor in an old microwave...
Yep the BBQ Rotisserie work perfectly.....I use one, have it mounted on a 1"x4"x14" board and is mounted to my left of the tying Desk, not the station.
Turns nice and slow.Great for drying epoxy flies. I've never heard of using the microwave motor...thats interesting
just found a motor that might work... recon 4 rpm is too slow ?
That should be fine....
You might try here for a motor http://www.surpluscenter.com/electric.asp
I have used them numerous times with great results.
It is a little difficult to get around their site, but you should find some for $5 or less
Well, built one but steadin of the motor being 4rpm it was more like 40... Slung glue all over the place... A little even hit me in the teeth... Went & put the whole thing in file 13 after shootin it with the cannon fer slingin glue all over the room...
Better yet, a lawn ornament motor, at 6 rpm its perfect and should be able to find them yard sales now. Took a piece of 3/8 plexiglass and heated it carefully across the center and bent the to make the base and platform to mount the motor. Get a piece of round foam and and connect to the shaft.
you can also find disco ball motors that work...i haxe one somewhere....
