It all depnds whether you are tying them or fishing them.
With all the epoxy that is needed, tying spoon flies can be a messy proposition.
I have used and tied a various spoon fly patterns. They all work equally well for reds and trout. One drawback is casting them in the wind.
I tend to preferr Cave's Wobbler myself.
PS Used to live down the road from Cleona in Hummelstown. Sure do miss that area of the country.
