Eric,
Your post has me interested in picking up the guitar again. I've forgotten what kind you bought and how much it was. Can you PM me or post here with the info I might need to get one like yours?
Thanks buddy,

Check out the Yamahas from the 1960s. Their sound has typically improved with time, they are well built, and you'll find some real bargains on e-Bay, etc. (Under $200 is easy.) I own three - a FG-160, FG-160e, and a 12 string, Two of my sons have also bought them cuz they liked the sound and action of mine.
I have an Applause made by Ovation that I bought when they first came out about 25 years ago. It has the Ovation sound without the Ovation cost. They are very reasonable running $150-$200 online, but I would recommend going to your local guitar store and plink plunking one. I was sold on the tone 25 years ago and still love the guitar.
Hey Joe,
Her is what I got and where too:

That is the wrong price as right now Guitar Center has them for $149.99. That is the guitar with stater kit. The Yamahas in the entry level category are about $199 and really do not have any better sound nor construction.
You should use their store locator to see if they have a store near you. They may have some really nice used gear for a reasonable price too. Just happened that by the time they set me up with a used one I could get the new Epiphone for a few dollars more.
Here is a good example of what the Epiphone sounds like:

Good luck.
Thanks Steve,
I finally got a chance to listen to the link. Fret not (pun intended) I won't be flying United with a Taylor guitar. ;)
this page has a handy tuner, I downloaded it (free) and use it to make sure all the toys are in tune.
