D.Micus
I had not seen any of Daves articles for a while so I thought I'd write him and find out if he was sick or just working with a terrible hangover. The long and short of it is that he is not writing for FAOL on a regular basis.
I wanted to therefor take a moment and thank him for his writing and motivation to get me to the salt. I liked his style, his topics and his refreshing approach to life in general.
Dave, I'll see you around this board and see you on the water, but I will miss your writing.

Yes, Dave holds up the fine New England tradition of being thrifty. Why he's so tight his shoes squeak when he walks.
I too found his information helpful.

I understand that his shoes are not the only thing that squeaks when he walks.

No comment. I would not want to embarrass him anymore than I already have.
Okay, thats a lie I would love to embarrass him as much as much as I can. After all, what is life about other than embarrassing your friends.

I look into... my fly box, and think about all the elements I should consider in choosing the perfect fly: water temperature, what stage of development the bugs are in, what the fish are eating right now. Then I remember what a guide told me: 'Ninety percent of what a trout eats is brown and fuzzy and about five-eighths of an inch long.' - Allison Moir.
I wonder if he ever fished Saltwater ;)
