Granger Aristocrat 7030 Bamboo Fly Rod (Reproduction)

For sale is a GA 7030 repro built on a Goodwin taper. Rod was hand plane on oven heat treated Tonkin from Charles H. Demarest, Inc. and dipped varnished. Ferrules are REC Nickel Silver step-down and guides are also REC. Thread is Pearlsall Gossamer in GA color. Reel seat is a vintage new old stock W&M Granger up-locking in Nickel Silver, smooth and functional.


The rod casting action feels somewhere between the Goodwin 7030 and a W&M 7030. Slightly faster and crispier than the Goodwin 7030 due to the slightly longer heat treatment in the oven but slightly slower and more gracious than the W&M 7030 as it was hand planed on Goodwin taper numbers. Cast a DT4 or WF5 beautifully. Very lightly used and stored in temperature and humidity controlled cabinet.


Asking $450 shipped to CONUS. Includes the REC rod sock but no tube. Will ship in PVC tube for protection.
