Albright xx rod
Jim Murphy was kind enough to give me Albright's new XX rod to field test. The rod is made specifically for casting weighted lines, which is what I fish the most, and it handles the heavier lines incredibly well. One thing they don't mention in their advertising but I noticed right away is that this rod is incredible in windy conditions. I was fishing in a head on gale on Sunday and still managed to throw a lot of line--much more than I can usually throw in the wind. Anyway, it really is a great rod if you fish in less than optimal conditions.

Hey Micus,
Tried one of them out last week down in Taunton at the Bear's Den. I was talking with Scott about how my 9wt turns to mush with intermediate and sinking lines. He gave me the 9wt XX to try. I was amazed with it, I was casting a 25' sink tip and was able to throw the whole line no problem.
I was told it also throws floating line just as well.

try it in the wind and you'll be amazed. and make sure we splt the money we get for this with benjo...

Dude,
We can by two of them. Then we'll break Micus' rod in half and each end up with a triple x rod. Sorry Dave but thanks for the rod.
