Coyote question
My neighbor killed a couple of coyotes that were a bit too brash about helping themselves to his turkeys and chickens. I've never tied anything with coyote, but he's asked me if I could use some. What flies work well with coyote fur? Which areas of the hide are most useful? He poked some pretty good holes in them with a 30-06 and deer loads, so they aren't much good for anything that uses the whole hide.

Wish I could remember the name of the fly that gained a lot of popularity about 5 years ago made with coyote guard hairs. I'll sit down in a quiet spot, sip a little ice tea(this is the desert, after all, even though it's a whopping 40 degrees), and maybe it'll come to me.

Thanks for the input troops. Those are good suggestions. I'll snatch a patch, and see what I can come up with. Heaven forbid that I try to come up with something on my own. The idea is to catch em', not scare em'.
