Foam popper material
 Does anyone have any information on a source to purchase pre-made foam popper bodies that will accomadate a 4/0 or 5/0 hook. I tie flies commercially and one of my shops is requesting some foam poppers to use for musky fisihng. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Bill Sherer's We Tie It is a great site for musky size materials. That is what he guides for.

Never seen anything bigger than 2/0 in pre-made foam bodies. You might contact Rainy's and see if they can make you something in the size you need.

Here's a link with a bunch of choices that might work for you

In particular take a look at:
Master Blaster
Foam Diver Head
Sailfish fly heads
You can also make Crease flies any size, or punch out popper bodies from a foam block (or abandoned lobster/crab trap float idf you're anywhere near a coast) with a copper pipe (sharpen edges a little with a file to cut through foam, use a dowel or coat hanger to push out foam plug)
good luck,

Marshmallows... look for foam marshmallows at Joann's, Micheal's, and or Hobby Lobby. They are really big round white foam blocks, easily change the colors with sharpies and or fingernail polish. Burn a hole through them and you have an instant sailfish banger, aka big ole' ugly musky/pike popper.

These are craft foam "marshmallows" plugs. Cut a slit and SA glue a kink shank hook in. Paint and dress as desired. Pretty straight forward. There is a smaller size , but I have yet to find them in a craft store and refuse to pay more for shipping than the 99 cents for the item on-line.
