Sunday AM
Spent a few pleasant hours in the Church of the Lord's Beautiful Outdoors. A few 'gills, and the cats were thrashing around in the shallow end like there was some sort of feeding frenzy going on. I caught two, and could have caught more but - and I know this is sacrilege for a fisherman - I don't really like catching catfish. They do fight, but mostly they just drag you around the lake and feel like a bag of cement at the end of your line. The runs did take me into the backing though.

Sweet catfish! That looks like a pretty good-sized one!
I've enjoyed catching catfish since I was a kid. They're just more fun on a fly. I can see why you might not like to catch them...they do tend to leave a bunch of slime on your line and hands!
I had this 24-incher (@5-6 lb range) demolish a bass popper a few nights ago...THAT was pretty exciting!
