Telephone Box Dr. Burke
Here is a picture of one of my favorite searching wet fly patterns I tyed up yesterday. This pattern is called the Telephone Box Dr. Burke. For all that has Ray Bergman's book "Trout", you will find the fly there on plate 8.

Very, very nice dressing. That rib almost looks to be two strands of black floss twisted (or furled) together. Is it just one strand twisted?
Wonderful looking fly.

Hi REE:
That is just one strand of floss constantly twisted while winding around the body.

Question
This a old fly pattern!
It belongs as part of FAOL's "Just Old Flies and stuff"! Along with a the back story on when it was created, and who the orginator was.
And yes it is a beautiful wet fly pattern, as well as a wonderful display of your fly tying talents.
I also found this fly pattern on another site with the body using orange floss instead of red. Dressed by Don Bastian!
