I have the A-5 in the 5wt and 8wt. Haven't used the 8 wt much yet, but I really really DO like the 5wt!
Where there some other posts to this thread that were edited out? I was considering buying a pair of their waders, cheap but thought that I read that shipping was close to $20. Could be wrong. Wanted to ask if anyone has used their waders and what did they think of them.
My A5 is a nice rod, got the 4wt. Looks good bent over on a fish.
A buddy of mine was ordering one of the reels that had a price tag of $39.00. The shipping was going to be $26.00. He promptly cancelled the order.

I have heard that the shipping was bad before...thought they would have worked that out.
Yeah shipping is just unreal through that company. Your better off ordering a bunch of stuff to save on the shipping.
I am a fan of the rods, not a big fan on the reels. Good for back up, but to many plastic parts that crack and chip really easy.

I purchased a pair of Albright Waders last year. My first pair of breathable waders. I've used them less than 10 times. So far I've been happy with them. No leaks, easy to move around. I bought them a bit large so no pulling on me when I walk, fish, climb out of the stream, etc. I don't have a point of comparison to other breathables though. The tag says "made in china" if that makes a difference to you.

Ask them to ship USPS.
UPS to Canada involves Brokerage/duty charges so we have asked them to ship by mail.
At first they said no but have since relented I believe.
I tried to order some stuff from them the last time that they had a sale. When I saw the shipping, I couldn't believe it. Sent them an e-mail to see if they would ship usps and they told me that they would not be able to do that. When you add in shipping that really doesn't give you that good of a deal IMO.

Haven't checked to see if their deal includes free shipping at a certain point, but if so, maybe two or more people could get together on an order. Then the only shipping is from one of them to the other on the items that the second wanted. It didn't take me all that long to reach $150 for free shipping last fall.
I bought a Bugatti reel around Christmas and the shipping was free. I just chose the free ups shipping option under shipping options.
Having read the posts, I went and calculated the shipping. For me, USPS it was aobut $14. Considering I still save about $200 on an A-5 4 wt, 5 piece, does this make sense? I can get a Wild Water, from here in NH, for $99. So, is more money a better deal?

Thanks Phishtales, I missed your post before and only today read over the thread in more detail. I ended up with a pair of Patagonia Watermaster II on Ebay for $100 new. Not bad given that they were $335 retail and the shipping was under $10 on them from a vendor with 100% feedback. I've bought 4 pairs of waders off of Ebay for myself, friends and wife. While I contemplated the Albright's the shipping costs just threw the order out the window.Quote:

Htte to say this, but with $100 the shipping was probably free....;).
I just added fly line to my order and got free shipping. Same price but I got fly line also.
Maybe it was $150......don't remember.
I bought a Topwater 3/4 wt rod and reel a few days before Christmas and UPS shipping was free. Albright shipped within a couple days of my order, but it took 12 days to get here once UPS got the package. Still it was free so no big deal. I did email them a question after my order and they got back to me within a few hours. Overall great service, I'll buy from them again. Pretty nice outfit too, especially for the price. It came with a rod sock, tube, and reel case.
Total for my reels was 70 bucks...if there was a free UPS option, I missed it. :shock: :lol:
