Great Day!!
Jack, Warren, and I went to the Duck river today, the weather was perfect and the fish were cooperating very well. Warren had 20 trout, I had 16, and we also caught a bunch of bluegill and black perch. About two hours into the fishing I had caught a couple of trout, when out of nowhere I hooked into a large rainbow. It came out to be right at 20 inches and man what a fight. Thanks to Warren for taking the pictures. It was a great day on the water with great friends.

It was a great day and that Rainbow was just beautiful! I am so glad that Joe caught him! Joe has turned out to be a fantastic fly fisherman and took to it like a duck to water. I hope I did not walk him to death today! I do a lot of exploring when I fly fish and we did a lot of walking and exploring and I can only hope Joe had as much fun as I did fishing with him. We will do it again, soon. Great fish, Joe. You should be proud.

So you're saying that Joe took to the Duck like a duck takes to water?
Gorgeous fish!!!

Congratulations Joe, nothing quite like a large fish, thin tippet and a long rod for a few minutes of fun.
Don't tell anyone, but Warren Patterson is a pretty good guide. What he doesn't know about the Duck and the Elk Rivers is pretty much unknown.
