You got a lot more out of your nap. You didn't miss much.

Jim, By falling asleep you demonstrated a remarkable good taste in "music".

PS: Also I'm tired beyond words of some nit-wit stylizing our National Anthem.
I agree. Here is that nit wit at 11 years of age:
Christina Aguilera National Anthem at the Stanley Cup Finals Pittsburgh Pa Pens vs Black Hawks

Liked her a lot better back then but I guess fame changes folks to some degree. In her defense Chris is a very nice lady and good mother.
Now here is one of my favorite versions sound by the choirs of the Armed Forces Academies:

HOOAH!
I must add that while I too dislike people taking liberties with the National Anthem I am delighted that they live in a land where they have the right to do just exactly that.
I'm part of "this generation" due to my age, and even I had to change the channel to avoid the increase in blood pressure.
The local traffic reporter just made one of the best suggestions I have heard, why not let a member of the armed services sing the National Anthem at events like the Super Bowl, World Series, etc., A real life hero singing about the country they love and defend, novel concept.
RBC, while I understand the total lack of interest in the half time show, I don't understand how you slept through the noise. Maybe you should have your hearing checked.
Hey RainbowChaser,
You didn't exactly fall asleep. It was a little known and still not quite fully understood defense mechanism our brains have that shields us from the offensive and dreary in music. (OMG, I almost said the arts!)
