Can anyone tell me the action of the IM-6 graphite Winston was using 20 to 25 years ago?
I'm thinking 7'6" 3 piece 4 weight in particular.
I know that is a rather broad request but giving it a try.

I have that rod in an 8' 6" and like my other Winston IM6 rods it would be classified as a mid-flex, medium action rod. I tend to like the slower loading rods as they fit my casting stroke and are a good choice on the waters I fish, medium to small streams. I've taken some very large trout in fast water with these rods and never felt that I didn't have "enough" rod for the task.
Thank you Grizzly Wulff!! That is exactly what I was hopeful of hearing.
I bought a rod that was built on a Winston blank they were using 20 to 25 years ago.
Haven't received it yet. I'll try and post a couple of pictures. The rod was recently rebuilt with a new Lemke reel seat, excellent cork, new old stock Perfection
line guides and tiptop and a new titanium with SiC ring stripping guide.
