I've never met him, but I hear he was a very nice man. He is with us now, as a part of our spiritual lives, that's why we fondly recall him.

The last time I saw Al Campbell was at the the September FAOL Fish-In...
I was shocked to learn that Al Campbell was dying...
I helped raise over $600 for the Al Cambell Memorial Bench by offering FAOL Fly Patten CDs to members of FAOL...
I also continue to miss Al Campbell, it was only after his death that I learn that Al was 5 years young then me....
But I will always consider Al Campbell, as my "Senior"...

I never got to know Al, I joined here too late, however I have read his tying threads on here and yes I miss him also. A Great fly tyer and a Greater Person. He paid it forward in the best sense of the word, ;he passed his knowledge on so others might learn years from now. Thanks again Al. Y'all take care, John.
