I had the unfortuante experience of having one of my offices broken into.
A computer, cordless phone, and a little cash were taken. The borke a window to get in so that has to be replacedx also.
But having the model and serial number on everything has made it much easier with the adjuster.

Rick - All things of value in our home and barns has been photographed, cataloged with a value, a S# if pertinent and is on a CD in our safe deposit box at our bank. That includes most fly rods, boxes of flies layed out and the reels too. I think I can make a pretty strong case for the insurance company or the police investigators. The only bad thing is the deductable....most of the time we pay big preminums but get little in return unless the whole house goes up in smoke or someone cleans us out.

comes with a booklet of some sort. I write
the serial and model numbers on the booklet
and have a file that holds all of them. Handy when something breaks and when my shop
was burglarized, my insurance paid for it all. Warm regards, Jim
Jim - I too have all the manuals, etc in a drawer in the shop in my Polebarn. However, if the shop caught fire, I would not have any back-up, hence the CD at the bank. I hope the old saying works for me....like having an umbrella in case of rain. It will never rain if you carry an umbrella, only when you are without. Jonezee
