Normand,
Saw them both when the TFO rep came around with Jim Teeny. The Bug Launcher, aimed at kids, is actually a very nice casting rod. Vickie and I are getting two for the kids fly fishing academy we volunteer at each year.
REE
don't forget the fly rod chronicles rods and the clouser rods.
if i could only like the fly rod chronicles tv show.
thanks for pointing those out
The Buglaunchers are designed to be a kid's first fly rod, but they are also pretty good small stream rods. LOL I told Rick Pope he should make them in flat black or green just for that purpose.
The Mini-Mag was made in response to input from a lot of southern largemouth bass anglers who also fish saltwater and had some experience with the larger hybrid glass-graphite bluewater rods from TFO. They were clammering for TFO to make a smaller and a bit lighter version for pitching big bass bugs up against shoreline cover, boathouses, etc. Should also be a great choice for Snook fishing under the dock lights at night like they do a lot of in Florida.
