yum...Yum......YUM!!!
This afternoon I thought I was in Italy. Well....almost. The odor in our kitchen was of heavenly Italian extraction . There had been questions and answers, PMs and snail mail, all full of very generous information and even a sample of materials from Dough God Joe Valencic. I'd earlier made a few loaves of his No-Knead bread, some plain (wonderful!) and some with dried fruits and nuts (even better!). Today it was excellent bread with Italian herb flavors. El Supremo!!!
This is what came out of the oven. (Can't see it - hope this works.)
A bit later, after the golden loaves cooled, it was tasting time. EUPHORIA!!!!
If you guys aren't baking you're missing the boat!. Move close to someone who does. Simple and devastatingly delicious.
I'll soon file an application to become an acolyte in the Church of the Dough God.

And,,, you are going to post the details and ingredients and recipes? Or,,, do I have to become violent!!!? :)

yum...
Gently, gently, JC,
The instructions for making Joe Valencic's No-Knead bread are in the archives - Sept. 8, 2008, What's Cookin'.
The Italian Herb recipe needs two tablespoons of Joe's cousin's herb mixture. There are probaly others that are similar. The loaves with dried fruit need only a handful of raisins. craisins, nuts, whatever. And man, oh man, is it good?!!!!
Seems to me you took some out of the oven very recently. Despite flavor and fruit/nut differences they're pretty much the same - WONDERFULLY DELICIOUS!!!

Darn it Bill, I already stopped clicking on Joe's posts until after dinner to prevent stomach rumbling because the neighbors were complaining about the noise. Am I going to have to add you to that list too?
