O.K. I just couldn't help myself when I read the duct tape quote from Oprah so here goes.
I think a much better quote on duct tape comes from Red Green. "Duct tape, the handyman's secret weapon."

Personally, I like the Oprah quote better but here's another favorite:
Everything in the world can be fixed with either Duct Tape or WD-40. If it moves and it shouldn't, use Duct Tape. If it doesn't move and it should, use WD-40.
Baling wire is the farmers secret weapon. It does everything from holding up a gate to holding your muffler on your farm truck. I always have a coil of baling wire and a roll of duct tape in my tool box.
ah yes the good old 8 gauge wire, bane of balers, lawnmowers, driveshafts, motorbikes and horses.
If duct tape didn't work... you did not use enough of it.

I have a small farm/vineyard here in SE Michigan. There are 3 things that keep this farm going. DucTape - Bailing Wire/Twine and JB Weld. The JB Weld is the most used, Bailing Wire 2nd. DucTape is used alot but won't hold up to the elements. Jonezee
LOL...I love them all!
yes it is possible to reuse pvs plumbing pipe, fencing staples and numerous other so called one use items. Its amazing what you end up reusing in inventive ways. Although if the cows break through that boundary fence again , maybe its time to use new staples.
While I was at Gander Mountain today I noticed that the folks that make guerilla glue now make guerilla duct tape. Just imagine the holding power of that stuff!
