North West Salt
I am curious how many of you fish the salt up here in the North West? This time of year the Cuttys have slipped back into the estuary where I live and are joining the resident Cohoes (Silvers) so I drive five minutes fron my house to a nice little cove and wade out to fish small streamers #8s
s. The feed this time of year is mostly little chums (which is why my flies are small) who move out of the streams into the estuary. The sea run cuttys grow up to about five lbs where I live and the silvers are about fourteen inches. It,s amazing that in six months the silvers will be five to ten lbs ! A #10 hook-silver body yellow under blue angel hair -three minute flies--and aaaarrrggghhhhhh Life is good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I see you are farther north, but that sounds like Puget Sound when we were around there.

Fish area 11 for Coho and Chinook with a little time spent chasing sea run Cutts. Hopping to try for some lings when they come into season this year. Spend most of my time fishing places like Three Tree Point and South.
