Classic Tackle Display with a night of discussion on tackle and

a second evening for Antique Tackle Appraisals by Sante L. fishnbanjo Giuliani and Fred Kretchman to be held at the York Public Library in York ME. The evening of discussion on classic tackle will be Nov. 18 2011 at 7:00 p.m. and run until 8:30 p.m., the Antique Tackle Appraisals will be the evening of Dec. 1 2011 and again hosted by Fred and I with the possibility of my friend Dan Leroux who is extremely knowledgeable on classic wooden baits, Maine made baits and other non fly fishing related items.

The evening of Nov 18 will begin with a reading of a chapter from the Cracker Barrel to set the mood and will alternate between Fred and myself on the history of the bamboo fly rod in Maine and how it spread across our region and continues in the tradition of its roots. Admission is free and if you are in the seacoast region of ME/NH/MA and can join us we'd be pleased to have you especially if you can bring some delightful item to the appraisal evening to have the audience understand there are some lovely creations in those attics out there.
