Betty, I'm sorry to hear that. I had the pleasure of meeting Lefty a number of times at different shows and he was always a gentleman and very willing to share is vast wealth of knowledge. Good guy that did lots of good for our sport. He will indeed be missed. Thanks for sharing this information.

Just heard of Lefty’s passing (actually right handed)
Met him at a show. Enjoyed listening to him and watching him cast
Sad news indeed. There is now a giant empty hole in the world of fly fishing.
A good man that will be badly missed. He was certainly a giver.
A great ambassador for the support and a great guy; he will be missed. My deepest sympathies to his family and loved ones.

He was a great guy. A true ambassador for our sport. RIP Lefty. Jim
There's a voice missing in the choir tonight , yet we will hear it long in the following, as you are never gone till your forgotten. Thank you Lefty for having been who you are.
I met Lefty several times at shows and spoke to him once briefly after a casting demo. Wonderful person. A good friend of mine and a friend of Lefty's has told me so much about him and time they shared on the water. Listening to my friend I think the fly fishing community not only lost one of their best, but we also lost one helluva a good person as well.
Lefty Kreh was one of the finest gentlemen that I have had the privilege to know in the world of fly fishers. I first met Lefty in the mid-60's at a Trout Unlimited banquet in Detroit, Michigan where I had the privilege of sitting with him at the head table. Over the years I saw him several more times at various fly fishing functions and I was always amazed that he remember who I was despite the fact that he met so many people in his travels. I watched him cast an entire fly line with just his hand and make a roll cast across a banquet hall floor and drop the fly in the center of a dinner plate. Go with God my old friend.
Sad to hear of his passing. I had the honor of meeting him several times at various shows. He always took the time to listen and talk with his admirers. I found him to be very humble. May he Rest In Peace.
You only hear how great of a person he was.
I'm kicking myself for never meeting him.
I picked up a signed copy of "Fly Fishing in Salt Waters" today. That's as close as I'll get.
R.I.P. I hope the fish are plentiful up there!
