Prayers, Well Wishes and a Safe Return

If this is on the wrong board, I apologize.
A group of soldiers, my son among them, are being deployed to a remote location somewhere in Afghanistan. They leave Tuesday. This group is among the best we have and I pray they excel in what they do, look after and protect each other, and return home healthy and safe. I also pray that while they and all the other military men and women are deployed, they too are protected, remain safe and our 'leaders' have the smarts to free-up all of these heroes to do the right and necessary things.

May God watch over and protect them and their families back home

This is definitely the right board ... even in the right forum. The people here care about their members, and the members families.
As prayers were so freely, genuinely, lovingly lifted for my granddaughter, I, too, would lift prayers for your sons safe travels, safe deployment, and a healthy return home to the arms of his family. Please keep us posted.

Allan, I sincerely hope and will pray for your son's safe return home after his deployment. I also hope and pray you and your family will be at peace while he is gone. I am usually pretty laid back but if my child were deployed by the military I expect I would be one big raw nerve. May God bless you all.

Allan, I'll add my prayers, too. As I've said before, this forum has added to the length of my prayer list.

Thanks Allan for letting us know that your son & his team are once again going down range. I know thy are very highly trained and the best we have. Please keep us informed, knowing you will not have much up to date info for a while. Of course my prayers for them & your family will be added to my list.
