Very cool pic Betty!!
That's one BIG Jackalope!
That took quite an eye to spot. He blends in very well.
Wow! Cool!
Okay Betty, Where did you find this stickgoat?
That's the best I ever seen Ed look!!!!!!
Warrren, that's not Ed. It's got way too much hair.
Nice, Betty, a self portrait.
No, no, lastchance. That's a Speed Goat, not a Swamp Witch! Found him in South Dakota, a very densely wooded area, standing in a barrow. His harem and all his little speed goat kidlets surrounding him. With the print lightened up a bit, you can see how huge a rack he's got ... impressive for an antelope.Attachment 10998
Actually, it is a cool photo.
Called Government Goats locally. *S*
How funny! Do we dare ask the story behind the name?
Betty, I think that they are, or at least were, technically consoidered to be related to goats and not to antelope. DNA testing has changed quite a bit in the wonderful world of taxonomy & morphology. I don't know where they stand now.
I think that Field & Stream had a little thing on what our game is, zoologically speaking. I believe they said our Elk aren't Elk, they're Wapiti (their own thing). Our Moose were technically Elk. I think our Bighorn Sheep were technically Goats and our Mountain Goats weren't Goats. Of course that was a long time ago and it might have been an April (Fools) issue...

P.S. The did NOT classify Swamp Witches. Of course, their offices were on Madison Avenue so their exposure would have been slight-to-non-existant.
