Very nice, John. Thanks for sharing that. Still a bit early here for Skwalas. Usually late March..early April for us. With the warmer weather, we may see them soon ouselves.

A real jewel!! Thank you for sharing it.
Hi John,
On the lower Clark Fork, near St Regis, the prime Skwala hatch is the 3rd week of April. Not sure when yours will peak. Hope you nail it. I got a little twitchy watching that clip. Thanks for getting my pulse moving a little.

John,
Here's a little more to whet your appetite http://www.vimeo.com/5327229

5" of white ice on the ground. I have cabin fever SO bad!
UGH!!! i cant wait untill may 1st
Marco, it may have lowered you bp, but it most defenitly RAISED mine!! There weren't any rises last Thursday, just some good tugs on the line. Would have loved to see one rise even just to see the sun! That was beautiful, and to get it on film!
Wow! That just brought a smile to my face! That was wonderful ... thank you!
I'm sure that I heard that trout say "Mama, mama" right before he as released. Look at his mouth.

For just a second there I was having a senior moment confusing John Scott vs. ScottP. BUT, now that I have it all sorted out, ScottP, THAT was also a very enjoyable video. Thanks
Mark
PS: AND Byron, just where do you find "running " water anywhere NEAR Rock Springs WY. this time of year????
Mark,
You're very welcome; glad you enjoyed the video. It's easy to tell John and me apart - he ties beautiful flies, catches beautiful fish and lives in one of the most beautiful parts of the country. Me, not so much.
Regards,
Scott
Marco, it is just below Fontenelle Reservoir. They run the gens most of the winter thus keeping it free of ice for a ways down stream. I don't believe it freezes over for at least two or three miles down. Last Thursday I found open water for maybe 15 or so miles, just found the one spot that was sort of out of the wind!!
Oh, also below Flaming Gorge damn, about an hour south.
