Grandad would be proud of you. Now put it to good use.
Welcome from Maryland.

Looks like your ready to go. What have you been tying?
Nice area - what is that organizer in the top left?
Looks good! one thing missing a picture of Grandad on the bench, this way your tying flies together. Welcome to FAOL:D
Always nice to carve out a little "space" for yourself. Looks nice!
Thanks guys,
I actually have my favorite picture of him on the wall overlooking the area.
The organizer is just a round "craft caddy" from Hobby Lobby. Holds everything I need and spins so it is easy to get to.
I would guess that I have been tying the usual suspects, started with Woolly buggers, tied some cap spiders, Pheasant tail nymphs, prince nymphs, Yong Specials, WD40's and just some I kind of dreamed up.
Probably the most interesting thing I have found out is I can actually tie on the 20 size hooks, when I first looked at tying on those size hooks I thought "you have to be kidding me" now when I look at a 8 or 10 size hook I think jeez that's big.
I also look at Birds and squirrels a little different now. :)

Welcome aboard from a fellow Texan. Good looking area to work.
Hello, and Welcom Aboard. This is my first post here, I've been reading others post and learning. Good group of folkes here, they will help if asked, lots of knowledge on flyfishing, tying and everything else connected with our sport. Take care and enjoy, John
Skippy, Welcome to FAOL from SoCal. That's a clean looking tying bench. Post a picture of it in a couple weeks. Jim
Skippy, you will never look at fur baring animals the same again.
Everything's fair game now, I have a few flies with my dogs hair tied in and wait till you find out the spinning qualities of dear and seen of seal and bugginess of squirrel and...
you get the picture.
tight lines and happy tying---------Grant
Skippy11, taht is a nice set up you have from your grandpa. Do him proud and tie lots of flies that catch fish. What kind of fish do you fish for there in Texas. Enjoy yourself and good luck, John.
