PLEASE post a link to it. I rarely come in thru the home page and trying to find an article sometimes can be a pain especially if it isn't a current article that is on the home page.

I agree 100%, this would make life so much easier.
While I'm up here on the soapbox, how about putting the State in when referring to a river state park etc. There are a lot of rivers in the world with the same name.
Eric
GASP!!! And chance giving away a perfectly splendid secret fishing hole????
Yeah, lots of rivers named Susquehanna out there.;) Just teasing.
I agree with both.
I agree. Sometimes it's not even obvious that the poster is talking about an article on the site. A link would be very helpful.
I can't post a link to a story. If I go to the home page then click on a story the URL stays the same, the home page. If I try to copy the URL to the story all I get is the homepage. Is there a trick I'm missing?
Eric, with your help I figured it out. I use Firefox. I first have to right click the body of the text, then I click on "this frame" then click on "show this frame only". I then get the direct URL on my toolbar, I also lose the sidebar and get the story full screen.
Thanks
You can also right-clink on the link that would bring you to the story. A menu will then come up that will say "Copy Shortcut". Click on that and the URL for the story will then be in your buffer and you can then paste it anywhere you want.
If I ever post something about the Skagit River it is the one that runs from Canada down thru the state of Washington to the Puget Sound and that is the only Skagit River I would be reporting on. The same with a river called the Sauk or one named Stillaguamish, although they don't start off in Canada. If I make a report on a river called Grande Ronde it is the one that runs thru Oregon into Washington and into the Snake River which runs thru Idaho into the Columbia which also runs from Canada into Washington and in between Washington and Oregon eventually emptying into the Pacific Ocean. Any other rivers I might make reports on like the Hoh, Skykomish, Qweets, Duckabush, Bogachiel, Solduc, etc. I will try to make sure they have unique names.
Point taken here, I never thought about it, I always assumed that when an article was posted about (unless other wise mentioned) it came from the home page of this weeks issue of FAOL, Thank you for the heads up on this...
For firefox users, right click on the home page in the center and click on this frame only, then pull up your options on your puter and you can make it your home page and not have to keep doing it... I usally don't post things like this either cause I always assume everyone else is ahead of me in all of this, including fly fishing and stuff, I always assume you guys are far more advanced than I...
Right click the thing you click on to get to the article and click "copy url"," copy link address" or whatever it gives you to copy. Then go to your post and right click and hit "paste". YOu have now just been introduced to the wonderful world of "copy and paste"........get it now :)
Experiment around with it. Don't be like my wife and say "I'll try that".................and never do.
Look at my username above, it's nothing more than a link to my profile. Right click on it. What does it give you? For my browser it says "copy link address". Click on it. You have now copied the link address.
Another way: Cllick on the link and go to the page. Look at the address bar. Highlight it(yup THAT is why when you click on it, it turns colors), right click it and copy it.
