It's not so much the fish, as the story from late last summer.

I had fished to this Big Elk Creek Cutthrout a week earlier and could not get him to take a fly.
The next time I was in the area, I hiked a couple miles into where I had seen him. I sat on a gravel bar for a little over two hours hoping he would rise when the green drake hatch started. Finally, he did. Gave him about a minute after his first rise, put a green drake dun right in his feeding lane about fifteen feet above his position, got a perfect drift, and hooked up on the first cast.

I don't have many to choose from, so here's one from my "archives". Boy I look young! :p

How about this full-spawn Silver Salmon from Buskin Lake outside of Kodiak, Alaska. Hooked around 3-dozen fish and only landed this one. 36-inches and fighting mad. I built the rod for the trip and this was the biggest fish I landed with it. What a memory.

Since I goofed and can't tell a salmon from a trout, I figured I better redeem myself with my favorite "trout" pic. Here it is:

Poke 'em, I agree with Grubb. Excellent photo!!!
This one isn't my #1 favorite (the best one I have is still on film and hasn't been digitized yet), but it is one of the most beautiful fish I've ever caught and probably a close second. Cutthroat on the Green River just below Flaming Gorge dam:

I'll humiliate myself and show you all a pretty funny one too:

This fat rainbow decided he didn't want his pic taken and tried to escape! I almost dropped him. LOL.
I am not sure who has the funniest look you the fish or the dog
that is one heck of a nice photo,,,
My favorite one was taken on the Fryingpan River many years ago. I had landed a rather large hooked-jaw male rainbow and was setting up for a photo op with the nice fish.
The fish jumped out of my hands just as the picture was being taken. The final picture looks like I am hugging the fish as I caught it before it went into the water. My head is looking up and I have this big smile on my face like I am saying, "Thank you God!" It is a classic picture.
If I wasn't out of town right now I would try and get a digital copy in the next few days. Unfortunately, you'll have to wait for a few weeks instead...

Don't be too impressed,I should have stated it's a lake run fish not a resident river brown;)
