Wow, that's a dandy!!! Where?...or shouldn't I ask. Litehen
How'd you get the camera to enlarge that little brookie without your hand getting bigger too??
But seriously, that's one hog of a brookie!!!
spinner;
Can I come fishing with you?
Thanks for sharing! That a nice brookie.
Don
NICE!...When I see pictures like yours, I know there is one like it waiting for me....somewhere....sometime.

The 2 brookies in the slideshow were sweet brookies but........
After the outing I watched from the bridge above..........
The ones in the slideshow were the SMALLEST ones in the area.
As I watched I saw 2 in 21 range....One maybe a male brookie cruise by and just as we were about to leave a ***25*** range long skinny male brown slithered in to the mix. Should seen how the brookies reacted

Great picture! And that brookie is still alive, too. You can tell because the eye is looking down, as live trout always do when they're out of the water. If the eye is staring straight out, the fish is, in all likelihood, a dead fish.
I'll bet you didn't know that! http://www.flyanglersonline.com/bb/smile.gif
spinner1, what did that little football eat? what was her mistake? those are some nice brookies.
dan
black crystal flash bugger........
size 4..........
Is a male....both of them I think.
bugger, eh? guess, they were hungry, greedy pigs. i would expect a little more of a hook jaw if they were males at tat size, but i never got a brookie over 20", or even hookjawed period, so maybe those fballs were packing. nice work spinner1!

WOW, ... I guess I have to re-vamp my perception of Brookies south of 49 http://www.flyanglersonline.com/bb/wink.gif
Males ... yup, ... even early in the summer they start getting that marvelous orange in the lower flanks.
The females will also get color, but more "pink":

Nice to see it went back into the water too (even though, inho, Brookies ARE THE best tasting trout around http://www.flyanglersonline.com/bb/wink.gif).
