Prayers sent out to a great lady.
May all go well and rapid healing
Best wishes and rapid healing Deanna! Having gone through this myself a few years ago I literally feel your pain. Healing should be fairly quick, just make sure to get on it ASAP as the doc orders.
This is what I did the week after receiving my new hip:

Dear Friends,
Just a quick note to let you know that Deanna had surgery this morning in Bozeman and that all went well. She was awake and in her room by 11:30 a.m., and the doctor said that everything looked good. She ate lunch and was preparing to take a nap when I left around 1 p.m. The doctor said that they would probably get her up sometime later today.
Thank you all for your emails, phone calls and especially your prayers.
Your friends,
Neil and Deanna Travis
Thanks Neil. Tell Lady Fisher we are all pulling for her.
Denny

Bit rougher day today with the pain meds that she received during surgery beginning to wear off. Up and about some but having some muscle spasms and some nerve pain. Will get better. Thanks for the thoughts and prayers.
Now the healing process begins. The best part is that each day the pain will be less and she will be up and about in no time. Please keep us posted. Thanks....
Hey, she will be clog dancing in no time. :)
Praying for a speedy and complete recovery, those mountain streams are calling her name.

In a short period of time the one place that won't hurt will be her hip. My wife has had both replaced and I know that is true from her. Praying for a speedy and successful recovery.
Hip surgery was successful but now she is having violent muscle spasms. Unable to stand for long or much walking. Lots of pain meds. Prayers are appreciated.
Keeping both of you in mind.
Rick
keeping you in my thoughts
Praying for full recovery. Don't skimp on the rehab even when it smarts. When you're standing in some cool water again it'll be all right. God bless you.
Ladyfisher is doing better today. Brought her back to our local hospital for some additional rehab and PT. Less spasms today, a more cheery outlook. Thanks for all emails, bulleting board posts, prayers and PM's. I pass them along to her and it makes her feel good to know that so many people are thinking about her, especially her old FAOL friends.
Deanna, We are praying for your speedy recovery. You and Trav will be on the water again soon. Now you will have another story to share with us. Jim
Thanks for the report. I do look forward to them. Tell her that no matter how much discomfort the therapy is, it is well worth it. I think she will find that each day she will continue to improve and bounce back sooner than she thinks. Therapy does work wonders. I know that therapy really helped after my rotator cuff surgery. The 2 of you will be with me in my thoughts daily. God Bless each of you.
Hey Deanna,
Prayers is prayers and good wishes is good wishes BUT a a good martini can also do wonders. It may not help but you'll care less about the pain. Get well soon.
Mark
Progress is being made. Much better day yesterday with fewer muscle spasms. Finally able to get in some extended walks with the walker. Hopefully she will be home early next week.
Again, I thank you Neil for keeping us informed. Good report.
Prayers sent from Michigan. Hoping for a successful surgery and a speedy recovery.
