My first ever. Made my day.
Nice Going!! Congrats!!
A very nice fish! The ONLY thing that would have made this picture a tad better, though, is if it were ME in the pic, holding the fish and not you.
Oh well, at least we evidently wear the same brand of Vest! Fish Pond makes a great vest. Curious, too, "How-for-why-come" is your vest's fly box appear to be empty? If it were me, it'd be because I'd been on the water, for over 3 hours and they were all up in the surrounding trees and bushes. But, I don't expect to see that in any one else's pictures!??
What Streamer, if I may ask?
It is empty because this was the first trip since I bought the pack. All my flies are still in other boxes, and that was my camera pocket for this trip until I figure out a config that will suit me. Thats why the pocket was open  Thanks for noticing, though. 8)
What river is that in the background?
WHATEVER YOU DO DONT TELL THEM THE ANSWERS!!!!!!!! THEYLL STEAL YOURE SPOT AND CATCH ALL THE FISH!!!!
although i am curious, feel free to pm me the fly you used and where that is.
...just for reference of course...
It's the salmon river in NY, not a big secret river. Probably the most visited in the state.
It was blue and that's all I'm saying.
OMG, I'm having a flashback to the steelheadsite.com and the protectionist attitude that permeates that crowd and their stocked fish. Even in joking that attitude makes my blood boil. Grrrrrrrrrrrr.....Quote:

Beautiful!!, I love all those dots on its gill plate.
Oh, it felt great.
Nice fish. Good memory for when you are tying during the long, dark, cold days to come.

My first Trout was a 4 incher, Come to think of it the only ones I've landed maxed out about 10 inches. :(
Congrats on a Beautiful Fish.

Is that a landlocked salmon?
Hey nice fish. I caught my first landlocked in early October what a fun deal that was. Congrats.
Sure is.Quote:
