This shot taken several years ago shows Michael's beginning ability, casting at a very young age of six.

Now at fifteen years old he can cast quite well, he never had to unlearn bad habits as I did...

You know he never showed real interest while I was having fun giving him instruction but now, when others are present he likes to demonstrate just what he has learned.

It really puts a smile on my face every time he shows or instructs someone
how to cast. :D

I have much to be thankful for.......

Great stuff Steve. Looks like you got a real fishing buddy there, and looks like he'll pass these along to his kids. There'll be 3 generations of fishing buddies before you know it, Congrats!

Not a spey rod it is a 4wt, and it indeed is a cable crossing over the dam tail
water at Box canyon, right where the boat launch is at..

Not very long as we were heading over to pick him up when his mother took the pic.

We had a very good day fishing the box canyon.
