Maybe we need to plan one of these things a little farther ahead so all of the folks wanting to attend can do so.
Fishing was a little slow on my part. The weather was outstanding for a late October day. The wind could have been a little less blustery but, thats life. I think I caught close to 20 fish from start to finish. I fished the trophy catch and release waters for a while with little luck. I wish we would have had something a little more organized to meet up with everyone. We stopped by campground spot #120 and nobody was even on the site. Things happen I am aware but, I was counting on someone to be there to gather in people from FAOL. That was the only solid plan I even heard of.
The stream at Montauk has really went through a lot of significant changes over the past seasons. I was not aware of some of these changes. The stream is still good but, its different. The new challenge will be in figuring out where is best to fish again. The weed beds are all but gone on the lower spring section. I will hit it a few times over catch and release season to try to figure it out more.
Sorry I didn't post sooner but, I've been pretty swamped at work.
