Received the Salmon/Steelhead flies today and must say I'm very pleased to add these to my collection.
Nice job everyone - and thank you all, and Chris for hosting another good swap.
Chris, the mailwoman delivered the flies today.
Great Galloping Gobs, these flies are beautiful!
A huge THANK YOU to all!
And Chris, you've put together a great swap.
Like all the others I gotta say
THANKS CHRIS!
Thanks Everyone,
Just recieved a package with some great looking flies. Everyone did a great job. I enjoy participating in these swaps because I learn so much. One of these days I'm going to try my hand at hosting one.

I just received a box of the best looking flies I have ever received. All of the tiers did a super fantastic job on these. This set may just go into a shadow box. They are more like art then a fishing tool. Thanks again to all of you and to a great Swapmeister Chris. I will post a pic of them on my web page later this evening. John
I just got done posting a pic of the flies from this swap on my web page. John
Got mine in the mail today, these are some nice flys.
Now I have to coppy some of these and hit up some steelhead runs
Chris you asked for my recipie here it is
Hook: mustad salmon hook
Tail: strait cut zonker strip and krystal flash
Body: crosscut zonker strip and Polar chenille
eyes: bead chain or dumbell eyes your prefernce
head: flashabou dubing (for darker more subtlepaterns I use bunny fur from zonker strips as dubing)
This fly is killer on coho personaly tested but should be good on pinks and kings just have to vary hook size for species
Note: good color combinations are
all Fushia
black with fushia head
purple with fushia head
purple and fushia
Diane,
I have tried to tie popsicles and they never turn out right eather to much or to little on the hook. Also i usualy palmer the feather on the hook and it ends up being way to long and hangs of the hook really far, how do you get yours to turn out good?
any help much apreciated. Neil
Got the Steelhead flys today.
Great job everyone!!!
