I remember using frozen catalpa worms to catfish and they were pretty much a green bean green but that was so long ago I probably had hair on top of my head. Now I had no idea Strike King made a catalpa scent. live and learn.
You know EdD I have a suspicion you are developing a taste for the moths that catalpa worms become hence your interest. You are likely on the verge of becoming a gourment of bugs and matching hatch is beginning to take on a new meaning.

All you Catalpa users a question. Do you turn them inside out on your hook or not? On a fly fishing note, my best flies for Shellcrackers has been a large sized Scud fished under an indicator and a crappie fly I call my BS Fly. Its a olive green, copper beadhead.
That's how the guys in North Carolina taught me, when I was using spinning gear. They showed me how to hook em and just turn them. It seemed at times you could catch 50 gills and crappie on one worm. But that was putting on a feast for twenty of your closest friends LOL LOL
Those days are over for me. I like the fly rod now. Gave all my gear to my son
