Check out JoAnnes Fabric shop, they have what they call stretch magic, might be cheaper the clear can be colored by Prism markers

That stuff is great for saltwater flies (Crazy Charlies etc.), but I think it's at least twice at thick/wide as this this stuff.

I started tying some Ugly fly's. You can find the instructions here in a FOTW article by Ed Gallop. Paco Soria came up with this pattern quite a while ago. The neat thing is, the CDL Indio rooster cape is from Feathers Emporium in Madison, Wisconsin. This is my Sulfur version in a size 16. They are ugly, but they catch fish really well!

I've been tying a mix bag lately. My most recent was this nymph, which I'll try out in areas where there are a few dragonflies around. I think it may work as a dragon nymph, but should work as a general large nymph searching pattern as well.
