I found them at the Fur and Feather in Livingston Manor NY but I bet Cabela's, Orvis or any other shop would have them.

I'm in a different ballpark altogether .... I've never considered taking a sharpening tool with me on the stream. Never even crossed my mind. I guess I'm with RickZ on this. I usually lose or break off before i notice the hook is dull. After reading this post, I believe I'll get something to sharpen the hooks up a bit.
May I suggest going to a dollar store and getting a 3 pack of metal finger nail files and doing what Warren suggested.Quote:

Hmm, I might have to give that rotating hook sharpener a try, I have a bit of trouble sharpening certain kinds of hooks.
I seldom get to use a hook/fly long enough for it to need sharpening other than at the vise.:oops:
