I too am tying a variation on the CDC and Elk. This one is a midge with a thin thread body and a ball of CDC at the thorax. The elk wing is gray with a stripe of white calf tail for better visibility. Sz 18 to 24.

Lately, local nymph imitations. #10 black Marabou Damsel Nymphs. Also some #8 Spongy (foam) Spiders.

I'm tying up; 5 dozen Ellerdine Enigmas, a doz. coral blobs, 2 gross peach-tail hares' ears, 6 doz. each of red, black, olive epoxy buzzers, 6 doz. brown/pearl & tan/pearl gotchas', a boxed selection of 100 dry flies & nymphs... hopefully after that little lot, i can tie a few for myself, then relax with a few beers!

I am currently tying Bird's Nest. I am working towards a range of sizes from 12-20 with a majority being tied in the 14-18 size range.
