If I continue to hear reports of a cougar in the area I may be packin' this spring. Now that I think a little more I may be needing some TP in case I do run into the critter. I hope its like most cats and doesn't like water, maybe I'd be safe in the middle of the river.
Well. Actually nothing. I stopped using a vest a couple of years ago.
When I use a vest the non FF related items are as follows: Water either bottles or a bottle with a filter in it (depending on where I am fishing), Extra Mags, Camera, and a lighter. I am sure I forgot to mention some items.......
Turvy, lions don't mind water. And they sneak up on ya, and attack from behind, so I recommend a mask on the back of your head, and avoiding tuna sandwiches. :p
I barely carry anything any more. Camera usually, maybe water, nothing else for short trips, but a full OS pack when I go more than a mile or so.
Camera. Cigars. Lighter.
I just realized I've only had 1 cigar in almost 3 months. I can't wait for Spring and open-water fly-fishing!! :D
I am with Hap. No bear spray for me. I do put salsa on fishing companions, however. Just in case.
I keep my one hitter in there at all times.
