I've been lurking on this thread, but this mention of Tilley sizing prompted me to make a response. Make sure you get the proper size for your Tilley hat. I almost bought one too small last year, as I was unaware of their sizing recommendations. They recommend that the hat not fit tightly on your head. I bought a hat about 1/4 inch larger than my normal hat size. This makes the hat a lot cooler and you won't worry about it falling off with their strap system.

I'm kind of partial to my straw cowboy hat. It can be seen on my head in the "Put a face to a name" thread. A good shade hat works for me most of the time.
