I just did a 500 mile round trip across PA on routes 322 and 80 today and the leaves were pretty much in full color once you hit the mountains. Locally here in SE PA they are only starting.

What we get in Louisiana instead of leaf change. Hibiscus. Attachment 11122
Minnesota the trees are dropping their leaves 3 weeks earlier than last year. The 10 warmest years have been in the last 15 years. We are in a severe drought, and water restrictions are about to go in place. Most of the farmers are going to lose money this year with little or no harvest. They are thinning their herds of cattle and swines, not enough feed to carry them through to the spring. Many lakes (we have 15,453 of them, no matter what I license plates say) are 4 feet lower than normal. I am not sure how that will play out with the fish population. Two years since I had to use my snowblower.
A little higher up from the pic posted yesterday; first snow in the mountains...........
