Of all the things to do cheap, sun glasses are not one of them. Spend the money and buy good polarized sun glasses. Do this for 3 reasons; 1) you only get one set of eyes, protect them with the best optics you can, 2) you will see things you won't see with cheapos, 3) if you spend more you will take care of them and treat them better and they will last longer(action optics even have a lifetime warentee).
My sons bought me a pair of Oakley half jacket polarized and after fishing in them I will always have quality fishing glasses.Did not know how many fish I was not seeing.Mine have copper lenses.
Seeing so many folkes saying that they loose too many pair or tear up too many pair of glasses .I have only seen one reference to the little rope deals that go around the neck and attach to the glasses. I wouldnt consider Not wearing a retainer on my glasses. When the need to comes along you grab the glasses and drop them(dont get a cheep strap!!!!)and get on with fishing ,they hang at your neck and you know right were they are at all times. Havent lost a pair yet.
Cabela's has inexpensive, UV stabalized, poralized "Glass" lensed sun glasses for under 20 bucks!! So, if you don't need prescription glasses check them out! They are laminated safety glass BTW!

I usually get the 50 dollar fishermans glasses with plastic lenses. Went through three pair in four years due to scratches and scuffs. They just get dull after awhile. Today I got some Action Optics that I really wanted anyway. Same price as three 50 buck pairs but are clearer and will stay that way longer. Got new croakies, too. I could see that they cut glare better just walking out into the parking lot (or more likely my brain had to justify buying them).

GrayGhost try the polar optics at Wallmart or at the website: http://www.polaroptics.com/collections_OVERX.htm.
I buy regular script glasses that I like and than use the spring loaded clipons. Yes thay are plastic but extremely good quality for the 16 or so bucks. So even if you loose a set it won't hurt much. I use amber for driving and fishing in low light, and gray for the bright days.
Polarized is polarized period. You wanna pay for top dollar stuff and optics that's fine. Try hard not to lose them or damage them. But polarized is polarized whether you pay $1 or $500. They are still polarized.
I buy the $1.99 drop in's over my prescription glasses. I'm satisfied.
