gmac209 ... I am a big cat lover ... great picture of your supervisors, getting in the way, as usual.
Gigmaster, I am not in this swap, not good enough to join one, yet. But I did have a question about something you wrote. "Annual Swap"? Does that mean a person can't join a swap for just one or two months? I'd have to tie #22 nymphs for one months swap, even though I don't ever fish those?
Sorry for the questions, I was thinking of getting into the swaps, but I am now confused. Please help.
Gmac, does cat tail fur float? I just finished the first coat of high gloss on my second rod build. I'll be clearing the desk to start on the flies. I remembered I had tied Thunder Creek style for the swap before. I may have to pick another pattern.
I tied a few of these up, tested them in the Conasauga River, and they work great for SM Bass. I call it a Flashabugger. It looks a lot like a crawfish in the water.
If these are OK, I'll get them tied and in the mail in the next few days.

My thoughts exactly, Gmac. I've got a small collection of whiskers, too. They are very rare. If anyone wants to purchase a couple for a fly, talk to Gmac or me. What do you say, Gmac ... $50.00 per whisker? That's a bargain for such a rare and beautifully tapered natural fiber.
Flys went out Friday!
