I'm also a advocate of Natural Remedies, I don't like prescription meds! unless completely necessary.

For the big guys,
I hope my post didn't come off as a blanket statment, but after reading it again I can see that it may have.
When I was referring to people being over weight I ment people that have excess body fat. I know plenty of large guys but don't consider them overweight even though the chart says so. They have a huge amount of lean body mass with a little extra fat. After a certain point of muscule, your body need extra fat to fuel it. Body builders don't look like that all the time. If they did they wouldn't be able to keep all that muscule. You guys get plenty of exercise and have enough strength to carry another person or two along with you. You are fit. Some people are just larger than others. Just like fish and animals. Not all of them can be trophies.
However, there are too many people that are your size and can't do all you can. These people end up being caught in a downward spiral and many need a lot of help to get out. If you do know someone that needs help try giving it too them. Even if they don't ask for it, start slow and work with them. Some people are too embarrassed or too proud to ask for it, but if you just start helping they may end up being very grateful.

Of cource I am avocating helping people. Not just with loosing weight, but with any self-detromental habit they may have. It saddens me to see so many people that are un-fit and over-weight. What should we do, dump them all in the ocean? Some people need a little help to start loosing weight, others need help the whole way, and others still just need a bit of information on how to eat better and get active. If you know of someone that needs some help, give it to them. It's easier to do something new with someone than it is alone. I don't beleive for a minute that someone that is unfit and over weight thinks they are ok and everyone should just accept them. If they say that then it means they have given up and it can be deadly. Just like any other addiction.
Another thing to add, Some people cant be thin no matter what they try, Because of their body types!!!!
I learned this in P.E. class.
Body types:
Endomorph=short, long torso, small bones.
Mesomorph=large boned, well defined, broad shoulders
Ectomorph=slender and tall
Another thing that I learned:
* don't believe weight charts, They are not realistic and they do not take into account body types. They are made so that they benefit the HEALTH COMPANIES MAKING THE CHARTS!!!

This is a simple set up!, What if you have a Friend who is addicted to Oreo Cookies and they CAN'T stop eating the Oreo Cookies! What exactly are YOU going to be helpful to them?? (Remember Personal Space?)
There are PLENTY of people that have addictions with food, drugs etc........Anyone short of GOD, CAN NOT help anyone, unless THEY want to be helped, not even a Doctor!
I need to make a Note, to NOT buy those healthy Ginger Snap cookies anymore! :D
Be VERY careful handing out advice to someone just because you think they need it!
