The 2 wt. "Shoot Out" was a lot of fun last year. I sure hope we have another along with an "Open" Shoot Out where everyone can strut their stuff!! The targets that Bill and Brad set up were very much like real conditions we all face.

I have been working on a "Shoot-Out" for this year. I won't be as easy on you as last year :D

I'm planning on the Mason show, and am always up for a Cabelas run. I need to go there with my oldest to fit him with waders, a vest, etc. Gotta bring the camera. 8)
I've played phone tag with Rusty today. He said the dates of June 30-July5/6 will work well for him. He said that most rooms will be available. Of course those that are open are on a first come, first serve basis as usual. He said since he's in the process of closing for the winter, and outside doing lots of stuff, it's best to email for reservations if you want to get them in right away.
I'm looking forward to seeing everyone again, and maybe to actually catching a fish in 2008. I'm a fisher, but still a virgin catcher!
I'd like to set up a meet and greet at Cabela's, maybe sometime in November? I know a lot of you are going to the fly tying event, but I won't be there and I want to be at all of our meetings for the fish-in! So let us know when would be good for you. I'm thinking sometime in the eariler part of November, before the hoilday surge gets started and everyone gets so busy. Then we can meet again sometime after the first of the year.

The map of Grayling shows a giant gray patch where the military base is. I think thats pretty funny, since you can get a nice closeup of the White House.

Hey Jean
How about the 17th of November?

I'm not Bill (not even close :lol: ) but you can go [url=http://www.fffglc.org/reports.html:9e5fc]here[/url:9e5fc] to find out more about Mason. Good show.

Tim;
I hope you can make the Mason event. It is one awsome fly show!!
The rest of you guy's had better listen to Mrs. DeSavage! She's one of the main reasons the Fish-In have been so well organized. She takes notes and acts on them while most of us couldn't manage a 2 car furneral!! Keep 'em straight Jean they need your leadership. We'll get you on some fish this year for sure!!
Save a chair for me at the Mason show. I'll do my best to be out fishing that day but I'll be there too, if only in spirit. It's sort of where it all started!
