Thanks for all the replies...
NY Angler, thanks for the info. Those are exactly what I am talking about. You don't have a picture or a pattern, do you?

"The more widely one observes nature, the more it appeals to one's soul. Why? Because there is a music there; and the wider one's outlook on life becomes, the deeper one's understanding of life, the more music one can listen to, the music that
answers the whole universe." --Inayat Khan

If You think you are a person of infulence , try ordering someone else's dog around .
They can be tied the same way that has been given for the inchworm. You will have to know the size. Just use black deer hair and wrap it with yellow thread. Or you can use black deer hair with a little yellow mixed in and wrapped with black thread either will work I am sure. The adult can be imitated by tying an Elk Hair Caddis in a larger size using a yellowish body and ginger hackle. The grub can be tied using any black dubbing and tapering it as shown in the picture given in the post above this one. None of these are hard flies to tie. Ron

Why not just spin deer hair on a 3 or 4X hook and trim to a round shape of the diameter you want? That's what a lot of WW flyfishers do to match this worm. You could also tie a dry or wet wooly worm in the colours you want. I also match "tent catipillars [sp?]" this way.
