I'm tying guides on my new blank. Does that count?
I know, crappy photo. No tripod, 1 lite, no contrast. Anyhow, this is a parachute caddis by Ralph Cutter. Started with #14's, this is an 18.

I'm not really tying anything. May time some pink squirrels closer to spring, but my boxes are full.
This is nice though...
maodiver, have you fished it during other hatches than caddis?
Scuds in natural and hot colors for winter steels. Tubes flies but I cant keep enough materials on hand.
Something to "BUMP" the bottom with this Spring...

WEIGHT: Lead or non-toxic lead substitute wire, 8-10 wraps, .010
THORAX: Marc used a custom blend including Peacock Ice Dub, I used a 50/50 mix of SLF PRISM Peacock (194) and Peacock Ice Dub
HEAD/EYES: Spirit River, Dazl-Eyes, Gold and Wapsi, Flat Stick on Eyes – Mirage…lock thread and eyes with Zap-a-Gap, two coats of SHAN…this is done FIRST

I didn't trout fish most of this past summer with the unholy heatwave, meaning I don't have to replace very many flies.
I guess my winter tying will be for everyone else.
