Peter,
You will LOVE that trip! The scenery, people, & fishing are all outstanding!!! It is always a MUST trip for me, but I am having cataract surgery on both eyes this month, so with that expense & limited vacation availability I will not make it this year.
Hopefully I will get Grubb over here to fish on MY turf this summer.
Kudos to your bride for understanding & supporting your passion for fly fishing. I'm also blessed with a lady like that.
Enjoy the trip, take plenty of pictures, & let us all know how it went please.

Wow, I thought I have a great wife and best friend...still do actually...but your wife really sets the bar high!
As for Shenandoah Park...I've been there. I never wanted to leave. Literally, never. You will love it.

Perch,
Sounds like your wife did a bang-up job on the arrangements. Hope to see you there if I don't let the dates slip by like I did last year. The town the festival is in is small and the biggest thing going that weekend will probably be the festival. I grew up there but haven't been back in a while for any length of time. It may have changed a lot since I was there so you can't take my word for it these days.
Hope to see you there this year.
George
