HATE PayPal. Sucks big time.
Well folks, I'll be the "other side" here. I have used PayPal a lot over the last few years & have NEVER had anything but positive experiences. I have paid & accepted payments.
I have found it secure & not to be disagreeable with Marco, but do you have any idea ...
1) How many hands touch an envelope (with check inside) between the original mailing point & it's final destination?
2) Info on check= name, address, routing number, account #, & check# (which gives thieves a "starting point")
In the case of money orders, if they are lost, you'll want a bank money order on which you may stop payment. Others,if lost, take a good deal of time to trace.
Just another opinion. I prefer PayPal.

I hate Paypal.
It seems that they have rules that only make sense for themselves, and don't even bother trying to get a straight answer to a question or problem.
Several days ago I received a $5,143 payment for a camera surveilance system that I had sold on Ebay. My Ebay fees were $113 for the sale, and my Paypal fees were $150.
The first thing I got was a message from Paypal saying that I should not ship the item until they conducted a review of the transaction, or I would not be covered under the Paypal Seller Protection Policy, and that their review could take as long as 24 hours to complete. So, I waited. 24 hours came and went. Sometime into the 2nd day, I got a message saying it was okay to ship the item.
Then, when I tried to withdraw the money from my Paypal account, I got a messsage saying that I should review and update the dollar limits established for withdrawals. The message said go to my Account Overview page, and then click on the Withdrawal Limit link (or something to that effect). When I did that, there was no such link on my Account Overview page. UGH!
You'd think that somewhere in this equation there'd be some relevance to the fact that both the buyer and seller involved in this transaction have 100% Ebay feedback ratings on hundreds of transactions, plus I'm a Premier rated and Verified Paypal user on 100's of transactions (whatever the Hell that means!)
Oh, well. Sorry for the rant!
On the plus side of this transaction, the item that I sold for over $5,000 (which actually belonged to my son) was recently purchased for $250! Where else but on Ebay could you turn a net profit like that?
